NetherRealm Studios has been counting down to June 2nd for some kind of Mortal Kombat reveal. Whatever it ends up being, Amazon is seemingly sure it will be Mortal Kombat X. It recently listed the game across PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 with a 2015 release date. Though Amazon removed the listings, MP1st managed a screengrab in the nick of time.

Artist Wiz Khalifa may also be involved with the reveal, having tweeted an image last night with the words “Who’s Next?” Needless to say, those words looked awfully familiar. With E3 2014 coming up, it seems that Mortal Kombat X will be revealed today and more information provided at next week’s expo.

How will NetherRealm serve to reinvent Mortal Kombat this time? Will it be a relatively simple affair like the previous game or will Mortal Kombat X seek to introduce several new mechanics a la Injustice? We’ll find out in the coming days.
