Mortal Kombat X

NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat X is now available for pre-order on the Xbox One through Xbox Live. Pre-download dates haven’t been revealed yet but the option will be available before the game launches.

Mortal Kombat X will be the developer’s first Mortal Kombat title for current gen platforms and will also introduce its most comprehensive online feature set. Players will be able to join various factions and wage war against others, earning points to get ahead or teaming up together to combat the forces of Outworld. There will also be random towers with different challenges to complete which will go towards your faction score.

Thus far, we know that Mortal Kombat X will punish quitting players by exploding their heads, Test Your Luck mode will be returning and there will be no 2 vs. 2 mode. Mortal Kombat X will be out on April 14th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC with the PS3 and Xbox 360 releases happening in Q2/Q3 of this year.
