It’s Friday the 13th on a Tuesday as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that celluloid serial killer Jason Voorhees will be available in NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat X on May 5th.

Voorhees will be available for those who purchased the Kombat Pack or Jason Voorhees Bundle Pack. Regular consumers will be able to purchase Voorhees on May 12th as a separate DLC character for $8 and take advantage of his power-based skill set and enormous blade.

Jason Voorhees Bundle Pack owners will also be receiving three new skins for established characters in Mortal Kombat X, including Kraken Reptile, Pharaoh Ermac and Vampiress Mileena. It should be noted that the Horror Pack of skins will be available on May 12th as well for $4.

Mortal Kombat X has been available for PC, Xbox One and PS4 since April 14th and will be heading to Xbox 360 and PS3 in Q2/Q3 2015. What are your thoughts on the game thus far? Let us know in the comments.
