Mortal Kombat X

NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat X finally has definitive release date. It will be out on April 14th 2015 in North America and April 17th 2015 in Europe. If you pre-order the game at retail – at least in the UK – you’ll gain Goro as a playable character. Goro, for those unaware, is arguably the series’ trademark BAMF (Google that) and this marks his return to the game after an +8 year absence.

Mortal Kombat X will feature an interesting mix of styles. It will have three different fighting styles per character, lending different moves and strategies, and X-Ray attacks have also returned. To top it off, NetherRealm is taking cues from Injustice and allowing players to use the environment to their advantage in gaining victory. If that weren’t enough, there will be a brand new storyline this time around.

Mortal Kombat X releases on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Will you be picking it up? Let us know in the comments.
