Yuri and Alice
Like what happens to almost every guy, meeting Alice changes Yuri – he goes from being a complete douche to caring about others and eventually the fate of the world. At the end of the game, Alice dies, and of course Yuri is heartbroken. In the sequel, Shadow Hearts: Covenant, he becomes quite desperate and attempts a ritual to bring her back from the dead, but is unsuccessful. Granted that Alice was dead, but the fact of the matter is that she helped Yuri to achieve everything he wanted. Love knows no bounds.
