Bayonetta managed to generate a fair bit of controversy in terms of its gameplay and the overall design of the character. Besides the fact that her hair was her clothes, Bayonetta showed some skin in the game as she uses magical powers. The magical powers were used to keep her hair on her body to make it form an outfit. This made the public to question whether women in video games were becoming objects more than heroes.
