When Blizzard announced auction house for Diablo 3, it seemed like a great idea at the time, but things slowly went downhill. In the Warcraft auction house the system was intended to be a “pay to win” shortcut to the endgame. This became Diablo’s most despised feature where people maxed out their credit cards to acquire items.
