MultiVersus - Rifts

Player First’s MultiVersus is launching on May 28th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and PC, bringing new fighters, mechanics, and more over last year’s open beta. However, perhaps the most eagerly-awaited new content is PvE, and the developer has finally revealed it in a new trailer.

Known as Rifts, PvE consists of multiple Nodes for solo and co-op players to fight through. They can range from your usual fights to mini-games. Mutators are also enabled to keep things interesting while completing Node Objectives (and matches) bestow Gems. These consist of Attack, Defense and Utility Gems and will raise stats or grant special effects, like a chance to shock enemies.

Multiple types of Rifts are available to experience, from Tutorials to Special Rifts, with more coming down the line. There are also Rift Variants, though further details have yet to be revealed. Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime. Head here for everything you should know about MultiVersus before playing.
