Square-Enix was teasing their brand new game yesterday on twitter via viral marketing and a website link that gave you a sound file with a picture in it if you have entered the correct password. Today the company has released the first official announcement trailer for Murdered: Souls Suspect.

The game has an intriguing twist on the story, you play as Ronan O’Connor who’s a detective and was killed by a serial killer. Your objective is now to solve your own case and figure out who killed you and why via afterlife.

In the afterlife players will be able to read minds of people who are alive, learn through their thoughts and actions as part of the interogation process as a detective. Murdered: Soul Suspect certainly has a unique ambition and idea attached to it.

Let us know if you’ll be trying this game out when it releases sometime next year for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the comments below.

Check back on GamingBolt for more updates as we get closer to E3 2013.
