Namco Bandai Trademarks ‘Lost Sword’ in Europe

New mysterious trademark filing emerges.

Namco-Bandai

Namco Bandai has gone ahead and filed a new trademark in Europe which, bafflingly, does not seem to have anything to do with any game that they have released in Japan so far. The trademark, ‘Lost Souls,’ may be referring to a series name change, or a subtitle change from an existing game. It may also refer to a game specific to Europe, such as a free to play or mobile title. In that case, it probably has something to do with SoulCalibur, Namco’s (currently) biggest fighting game property.

There are no more details about the trademark at all, though the internet is rife with speculation. If you wish to see the trademark filing in its entirety, check it out here. Maybe you’ll be able to find something there we haven’t.

GamingBolt will have more information for you on this issue as it develops, when it develops, so stay tuned.
