Plus Gatorade product placement.

2K Sports and Visual Concepts have done what they can do for the PS3 and Xbox 360 release for NBA 2K13, produced by famous rapper Jay-Z, and now they’re looking towards the Wii U for further gameplay possibilities in the newest developer insight.

Interestingly, producer Ben Bishop talks about how the Wii U edition will have all the gameplay features and aspects from the main console releases. You can still customize teams and players, along with jerseys and other outfit options. There’s also the extremely odd Gatorade Biometric Scanner which utilizes the Wii U Gamepad as a scanner, with which you can look at player’s fatigue levels, and whether they are “hot and cold” along with other bodily functions.

Yeah. Seriously.

The Gamepad is also used in Career Mode, dedicated to whatever your player and helps in finding “hot and cold” spots. We wish we were making this up but check out the video for yourself if you don’t believe us.
