Need for Speed: Rivals Launch Trailer Looks Seriously Impressive

Need for Speed is back in style.

Need for Speed: Rivals, the newest entry in EA’s long running, storied racing game franchise, hit the PlayStation 4 yesterday, and to celebrate its release, EA gave us a launch trailer. And damn, that looks seriously fun and impressive.

Need for Speed: Rivals seems to follow in the tradition of the Hot Pursuit/Most Wanted style of games (that Criterion revived for the series back in 2011), and it seems to be doing it exceptionally well. It looks fast paced, high octane, and just a whole lot of fun to play.

It also has the advantage of being the only racing game available at PS4’s launch- after DriveClub’s delay, EA announced that Rivals would be launching on the PS4 on November 15, a week before it will be available on any of the other platforms. A release for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One follows next week.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage of the title, including our coverage.
