If you’ve been excited to see more of NetEase Games’ first story-driven cinematic single-player title, Blood Message, we’ve got some good news for you. Summer Game Fest host Geoff Keighley has tweeted that the game will be at the showcase on June 5th, complete with an ominous message about a long, blood-soaked road to your character’s home.
If you’ve missed this one, it’s set after the fall of the Tang Dynasty in a visually gritty world in which you’re a nameless messenger who must travel the lands on your mission, fending off enemies and environmental obstacles alike in your quest to fulfill your goals. It brings a healthy mix of fast-paced combat, sneaky stealth, parkour-based traversal, and a cinematic story that might just have you glued to your screens thanks to how well it’s all presented in its trailer.
It’s shaping up to bring a healthy balance between style and substance to PCs and consoles, and is definitely a title that we’re going to try out as soon as we can get our hands on it. We’re already gearing up for the event, and you can be sure that we’re going to be telling you more about Blood Message as soon as we see more of it in action, so stay tuned!
