New Details Released About GTA 5 Including Its Japanese Release Date

The most anticipated game of the year gets few more details.

Today it was revealed that Japanese magazine Famitsu has published an article revealing some new information about Rockstar Games’ much anticipated Grand Theft Auto V, including it’s release date in Japan (October 10th).

The article goes on to reveal some more fun GTA V fats, including the inclusion of model specified wild animals in the surrounding environs, and even a pet dog, reportedly named ‘Chop.”

Additionally GTA V reportedly includes an underwater mission, a step into truly uncharted environmental territory for the series.

GTA V is the first installment in their console series since the release of the varied GTA IV episodic content in 2010, which was met with mixed reviews by gamers. However, GTA IV stands atop gaming site Metacritic as the top rated PS3 and Xbox 360 game of all time. Additionally GTA IV is the 2nd highest game on the entire website, playing a close second fiddle to obvious choice, The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. Let’s hope this next installment in the series can live up to the hype of its predecessor.

GTA V is set to release in the US and the UK in September, 2013 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
