Nvidia released their tech demo video yesterday where they showed tons of destruction physics and now it’s Activision’s turn to show what their technology is made of.

They’ve released some wierd video showing the facial detail of a model and it does look realistic however CryEngine 3’s models were more impressive in-game.

This features a lot more detail and a lot of facial animations are shown as well. This video was shown at GDC.

It’s being rendered real-time on current generation video card hardware in a DirectX11 enivironment, using advanced techniques to faithfully represent the character’s skin and eyes.

Don’t expect to see all these things in the next Call of Duty though. That would be an absurd thing but if the company can spend a lot of money in making some new IPs, then a great graphical push from their side is possible. That Call of Duty money has to go somewhere, doesn’t it?
