New FOB Events Launched For Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

I just wish we were getting some more single player content, is all.

It really sucks that no more single player story content is being released for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, especially when, by all accounts, the game, with its incoherent, incomplete story, really needs it. Instead, what we are getting is post launch content mostly focused on Metal Gear Online, and some for the single player mode’s multiplayer components, such as FOB invasions.

Earlier today, Konami launched two new FOB events for Metal Gear Solid V, which will also allow players to obtain some pretty high amounts of GMP. The first of these is The New World Order, which tasks players with infiltrating a special FOB consisting of seven platform types. Infiltrating the core of the first and last platforms will reward players with S+ staff; meanwhile, infiltrating the core of the remaining platforms will award players with A++ staff for the corresponding units.

The second new FOB event is the FOB Infiltration Challenge Event. This event will reward players with extremely high amounts of GMP, depending on the total Espionage Points they obtain between today and December 1. Players will be rewarded with 1,000,000, 1,500,000, 2,000,000 and 3,000,000 GMP if they manage to obtain 100, 500, 1000 and 1000 Espionage points.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is available now.
