New Forza 5 Direct Feed Gameplay Shows Forza Doing What It Does Best

It looks good, but...

The new Forza Motorsport 5 gameplay direct feed footage that we have simultaneously shows off the biggest strengths and weaknesses of the upcoming game and franchise in general: the strengths- racing looks as fun and authentic as ever, and the car models and track details are stunning. Seriously, it’s insane how good this stuff looks.

The weaknesses- outside of the tracks and the cars, it looks pretty noticeably not on par. The crowds are 2D silhouette figures, the trees seem to be 2D foliage, and generally, it just looks like most of the care and work went into the cars and the tracks. Which makes sense, that’s what we’ll be looking at the most, but still, I kind of wish the first Xbox One Forza game was a visual stunner through and through.

Still though, the Forza games have always been excellent, and this looks like it will be no exception. It launches November 22 with the Xbox One, so stay tuned for our coverage.
