New Guild Wars 2 Story Arc Begins February 18

And it starts with a great escape.

Posted By | On 11th, Feb. 2014

Guild Wars 2 may have recently just concluded its ‘living world’ storyline, but a new one is on its way already. ArenaNet have confirmed that a new Guild Wars 2 story arc will begin on February 18 with ‘Escape from Lion’s Arch,’ which will see the central, most populous hub city of the game leveled.

This is a big deal in context of the game’s lore: Lion’s Arch is not only the city that does not fall, and has stood strong and resilient to battle for countless years, providing shelter to teeming populations within its walls, but it has also been a fixture of the series back from the original Guild Wars. A lot of the game’s content has been centered on and around this city, so to see it just destroyed wantonly signals intent to get of their comfort zone, on ArenaNet’s part.

Do you still play Guild Wars 2? Are you looking forward to this?
