343 Industries’ Halo 5: Guardians, the fifth numbered entry in Microsoft’s long running flagship Xbox franchise, will be getting a brand new trailer later today, the developers said on Twitter today. The teases were then further echoed by the official Xbox account, as well as Major Nelson’s Twitter account– all of whom seem to be teasing August 31 as the date for the new Halo trailer.
Major Nelson’s tweet also seems to have a short video clip, which shows Agent Locke, the enigmatic protagonist/antagonist of Halo 5: Guardians, jumping out of a ship, joining some other members of his squad.
The final trailer will presumably have this scene extended, as well as other scenes.
Halo has always had great trailers and TV spots- being excited for a new one, especially for the game that promises a return to form for the franchise after the disappointing and underwhelming Halo 4, is not exactly as much of a stretch as some would have you believe.
Halo 5: Guardians will be hitting Xbox One exclusively this October. Stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we will have the full trailer for you later today, as soon as it goes live.
