New Killing Floor 2 Developer Diary Shows Off Weapons and Perks in the Game

Even the floor can kill you.

Killing Floor 2, the sequel to the hyper violent action game on PC from Tripwire Games, has just received its newest developer diary.  Like the previous developer diary, this new one also focuses on the extensive weapons and perk systems this game will feature. Specifically, this developer diary focuses on heavy weapons, and their associated perks.

The development diary explains that each weapon from the heavy arsenal is paired with a special perk and grenade; perks are then further customized as one plays the game further.

Killing Floor 2 follows the events of the original Killing floor, taking place just one month after that game’s events. A group of civilians and mercenaries have banded together to combat the outbreak and established privately funded operation bases across Europe. Upon tracking specimen clone outbreaks, players will descend into zed-laden hot zones and exterminate them.

Killing Floor 2 will release on PCs running Windows and SteamOS (meaning it is also targeting Steam Machines). A PS4 version has also been announced. All versions are slated for a 2015 release. Stay tuned for more coverage.
