New Luminous Engine Video Released By Square Enix

The engine is still unfinished.

We know how next-gen Luminous is, especially since they have been boasting about its features for a long time. By they, I mean Square Enix, who have created this engine so that it could speed development times and give them enough ability to churn out quality games and reduce reliance on third-party engines.

They have released a new video which shows on-the-fly tweaking, something which they showed earlier too during a presentation. In this video you can see how they can change the lighting and the beard color of the person without doing anything different to the source code.

The engine isn’t quite finished yet according to the publisher, but it’s something really important for the company’s fortunes. You can check out the earlier demo here as well.
