Blizzard’s Overwatch is getting another fascinating new character- his name is Winston, and he is a Tesla cannon wielding scientist and adventurer. Did I mention he has a Tesla cannon? Because he totally has a Tesla cannon. And of course, he also has a cool jump pack. All of this, and he is a gorilla.
Something tells me Blizzard was high when designing this character.
In this gameplay video that you can see above, you can see him doing monkey things, jumping around the battlefield and taking on enemies. He seems to have high HP, and devastating damage on close range- meaning he is a bit of a tank. All of this is supplemented by his ultimate ability, primal rage, which makes him tap into his animalistic side, boosting health, damage and how frequently he can use his jump pack. The only downside to this is, while he is in primal rage, he can’t use ranged attacks- melee is all he is stuck with. Still, with proper use of the boosted jump pack, even that should not be much of an issue.
