New Project Cars Screenshots Are Pretty Impressive

Take that, DriveClub!

Project-Cars-11

Project Cars may be delayed, but developers Slightly Mad Studios and publisher Bandai Namco are doing their best to ensure that this is one case where ‘out of sight, out of mind’ doesn’t apply by constantly drip feeding us more and more new information and media on the game.

This includes the latest batch of screenshots for the game that we just got, all of which look spectacularly impressive, and show off some pretty neat stuff, including a cockpit view mode, and some neat weather effects that include rain as well (take that, DriveClub!)

All in all, the game looks gorgeous and feature rich, and it looks like it might easily achieve the mantle of the best (non-Mario Kart) racer of this generation so far.

Project Cars was originally slated for this holiday season on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, with a Wii U release following some time next year. It was then delayed for strategic reasons into next year, and will now be releasing on all systems in 2015. And hey, who knows, maybe this way, we might even get a simultaneous release across platforms! Except it won’t, because the Wii U version is still confirmed to have a staggered release.

Sorry, Nintendo guys.
