Shadow Warrior 2

Now that Shadow Warrior 2 is official, a little bit of information is starting to trickle out onto the web. The game is slated to be fully unveiled at E3 2015 but until that time, you can check out a number of very pretty screenshots. Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital are teaming up in order to put this particular game out and they say it will be out sometime next year.

The game is obviously a followup to the two teams’ previous entry in what has now become a series. We don’t know a whole lot beyond dribs and drabs but we can draw some conclusions based on the way the company handled the first Shadow Warrior game. The companies brought that title to the PC first and then rolled it out on current generation consoles. For Shadow Warrior, the companies rolled the game out on the PC first and then brought it to the current generation consoles. While they could go the same route when it comes to Shadow Warrior 2, it might make more sense to simply develop the game for all three platforms at the same time.

Until we know more, all we really have to go on is the announcement press release, that included what Devolver Digital believes will be the winning strategy when it comes to getting gamers interested. As Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker said, the stunning visuals are one thing, but it’s the massive number of “wang jokes” that are really going to draw the people in over the long run. Until there’s more information about Shadow Warrior 2 available check out these nifty screenshots.
