New Skyrim PS3 patch on the horizon, may fix “lag”

Posted By | On 11th, Jan. 2012

Bethesda is working on a new patch for all three platforms, and the one that matters right now, the PS3 version is in desperate need of patching. Some users are reporting the game to be unplayable with frame rate hitting 0 FPS in certain areas.

Now, all this is well reported on our site, as you can check over here. But what is interesting is that, Bethesda has taken so much time to address the issue.

They did release one patch earlier, which didn’t provide a lot of improvements as many people expected.

Bethesda replied on Twitter that they are targeting the lag issue in the upcoming 1.4 patch.

“We’re addressing that in the 1.4 update planned for this month,” they said.

Earlier, a Fallout: New Vegas developer said that these issues were due to PS3’s split RAM pool, so it remains to be seen how Bethesda fixes this issue.
