E3 2010: New Square Enix Game to be Shown This E3; Called Nerkas

Posted By | On 06th, Jun. 2010

I think we can all come safely to one conclusion about this year’s E3, even before it’s begun- this year’s E3 will be known for all major announcements having been made before the conference even began. We’ve already had reveals of inFamous 2, Killzone 3, Pokemon Black and White, Resistance 3, LittleBigPlanet 2, Shogun 2: Total Waras well as a leak of specs for the Nintendo 3DS and a purported leak of a Goldeneye remake coming to the Wii and the DS later this year, Motorstorm 3, Elder Scrolls V, Thief 4 and an XBLA/PSN port of Wii exclusive title Dead Space Extraction.

Add another item to that list. As 1Up reports, Square Enix is all set to reveal a new IP at this year’s E3. The new title is allegedly called Nerkas, and nothing more is known about it yet.

It’s unclear if Nerkas is actually the name of the game, or of something in the game. However, the fact that Square Enix owns the domain www.nerkas.com should certainly mean something.

More on this as the issue develops.
