New Strider Trailer Shows Off Frenetic Side Scrolling Action

New trailer looks excellent.

Strider, Capcom’s reboot of its classic franchise that is due some time next year, just got a new trailer that you can see above; and as you can see, it looks pretty good, with gorgeous graphics and some frenetic, side scrolling platforming and action that is reminiscent of gaming’s 16 bit golden age.

Strider is being developed by Capcom Osaka in collaboration with Double Helix (who incidentally are also in charge of the reboot of another classic franchise with the upcoming Killer Instinct for Xbox One); the idea is to provide tons of fan service by giving fans of the series exactly the kind of game they would expect but reimagined for modern sensibilities.

Strider will be hitting the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC. No versions have been announced yet either for the PlayStation Vita or Wii U.

GamingBolt will keep you updated with further coverage of the title.
