Carbine Studios’ Wildstar, its highly stylized sci fi MMORPG, is getting a brand new update today, one that is geared specifically at addressing player feedback so far (a promise that the studio had made regarding the game a while ago already).
The headlining feature of this update, then, is the Protogames Initiative, which introduces a range of content for players to enjoy, including a new Shiphand mission and two exciting dungeons. The update also includes veteran versions of all existing Shiphands, enhanced customization options, and quality-of-life improvements to everything from quest flow to itemization.
In addition to all of these changes that veteran WildStar players are sure to appreciate, the update adds the Protogames Academy, which is geared specifically towards helping new players out- it’s a brand new dungeon meant for low level players, teaching them the ropes and the tricks.
