New Wildstar Videos Confirm Final Two Classes

Engineer and medic confirmed for the upcoming MMO.

The above two videos that you see have confirmed the final two classes for Wildstar, the upcoming massively multiplayer online role playing game from Carbine.

Medic and engineer were both classes that had long been rumored, and the videos above confirm the inclusion of both in the upcoming MMO. Medic is described as an ‘ultra high tech close range hybrid healer and damage dealer,’ meaning that the class should see some use beyond just its traditional status as a support class. On the other hand, it is entirely possible that medics are too distracted in battle because they are busy fighting, so there is that.

An engineer is sort of the exact opposite- it is a long range, high HP damage dealer, so it becomes sort of a tank. It deals heavy damage per second, so it should be a popular choice with many.

Wildstar will be launching exclusively on PC, and in an age where all but a few MMOs are going free to play, it will require a $15/month subscription fee (though the developers are looking at supporting microtransactions). Stay tuned for more coverage.
