Next Capcom VS Game Potentially Leaked By Devil May Cry 5 Voice Actor

The man who played V in DMC5 may have let something slip.

Capcom’s been an active participant in the fighting seen for much of its history. And while a lot of that is thanks to the Street Fighter releases, something else that deserves a lot of praise and recognition is the Capcom Vs series. It started with the Capcom vs SNK games and then jumping to crossovers with Marvel characters, which culminated in the Marvel vs Capcom games- but it’s been a while since we’ve had one of those, too.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite launched in 2017, but it was a flawed entry- though it was mechanically solid, other issues held it back from achieving the heights of its predecessors. That, of course, means the future has looked murky for Capcom Vs for a while now.

Well, maybe not. Recently, Brian Hanford, the English voice of V in last year’s Devil May Cry 5, sent out a tweet, saying he was “absolutely pumped for the next Capcom Vs game”, before suggesting that it would have “new characters, but could be VERY familiar.”

It is entirely possible that this tweet isn’t information that he’s let slip or is tease, but something that he’s hoping to see (many of us are, after all). However, if Capcom were to be making a new Vs game, it’s entirely certain that they’d include V as a playable character- which means Hanford might be in the know about such a project.

Either way, take this with a pinch of salt for now- but at the same time, keep your eyes peeled. Recent rumours have suggested that Capcom will be unveiling a new game soon, and you never know what that might be.
