Bugbear Games’ next car game, aptly titled Next Car Game, went live on Steam Early Access in mid January, and in just one week, it managed to make $1 million. To be clear, the game is only available over Early Access (and over the developer’s own website as an early build)- it hasn’t even had an official release yet.

The game- which was crowdfunded entirely (after a failed first attempt at crowdfunding it over Kickstarter) is also a demonstration of the incredible technology that powers it, that lets the developers show off variable and dynamic damage models for all vehicles in the game, which creates an immersive destruction derby experience for players.

For those not in the know, the game is a game with an emphasis on car destruction, in the vein of classic franchises like Destruction Derby, Carmageddon, or even Burnout- except the emphasis on damage is backed by an incredible damage model as well.
