Next Half-Life won’t change Gordon Freeman

Gabe Newell, the Boss of Valve, has recently said that he wants Gordon Freeman to stay the way he is in any future Half Life title, perhaps Episode 3 or even Half Life 3.

After an interview done by Edge about the future of Freeman, he responded by saying :

“We haven’t had a reason to change that. Most of what I’ve seen to date has been gimmicky and is entertaining for just a minute or so.”

And when asked if we will finally hear Gordon speak for the first time in a future title, he said:

“We’re not philosophically opposed to this, but we don’t have any good reasons to do it. Right now making your companions more interesting and compelling seems a more fruitful avenue to explore.”

No announcement of Episode 3 yet, even though its what the fans want, it seems that Valve has other things to do, you can understand them with the constant updates to Team Fortress 2 and with their latest release Left 4 Dead 2, i guess the only thing we have to wait for (again) is E3, surprise us Valve.
