Level-5’s Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom has been officially delayed to January 19th 2018. This includes the PS4 and PC release of the title. In a new video, CEO and President of Level-5 Inc Akihiro Hino announced and apologized for the delay.

Hino also clarified that the game would not have multiplayer content, stating that he misunderstood initial questions on the same. His answer actually corresponded to online announcements for in-game events. As for the delay, Hino said that, “We will continue to work hard to improve the quality of the game. Please stay tuned for more updates.”

Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom received its initial release date announcement around E3 2017 this year. More gameplay footage and details about the battle system and story were also unveiled. Though the delay is unfortunate, it affords the developer more time to polish the game which is always a good thing.
