Level-5 is hard at work getting Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom ready for release, especially with the most recent delay. Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has thus released a new trailer, showcasing the developers (with narration by Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino) talking about the animation, art and gameplay.

Ni no Kuni 2 takes places several centuries after the first game and sees two factions – the cat and mouse tribes – at war. The mouse tribe eventually stage a coup and it’s up to Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, the king of the cat tribe, to get his kingdom back. He’ll have several companions to aid him on his journey, some whom are showcased in the trailer.

The game was originally slated to release this year for PS4 and PC but was subsequently delayed to January 2018. From there, it suffered another delay to March 23rd 2018 to polish up on the Kingdom and Skirmish mode. Regardless, you can expect the sequel to succeed its predecessor in terms of gameplay quality and graphical fidelity.
