As if the launch of Nioh in February wasn’t enough to strain our wallets and time further in a month that already has the worldwide launches of Persona 5 and Horizon: Zero Dawn, here’s a fourth game for us all to get that month- and like the other three games, this is another highly anticipated niche title that will end up commanding a lot of zealous and vocal fans, and which will end up taking a lot of our time.

Platinum Games’ NieR Automata, the sequel they are developing for Square Enix’s cult hit NieR, will be launching on February 23, 2017, it was announced at Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show PlayStation Japan conference today. While it’s not officially confirmed that this release date is worldwide, Square Enix had previously mentioned that they were aiming to release the game simultaneously internationally, so it’s likely to be when we will get our hands on it too. Damn it.

NieR Automata will be available on PlayStation 4 and Steam.
