Nier Automata on PC Features Ultrawide Support, Locked at 60 FPS

Cutscenes are also locked but at 30 FPS.

Platinum Games’ Nier: Automata is finally available on PC via Steam and players have already discovered what it can and can’t do graphically.

Reports indicate that there is indeed ultrawide screen support so you can play the game at resolutions higher than 1080p. Various graphics settings include toggling V-Sync, up to 8x MSAA anti-aliasing, up to 16x texture filtering and a choice between four graphical presets – Low, Medium, High and Custom.

It’s important to note that the game’s framerate is locked at 60 frames per second, meaning that it can’t be played at higher framerates even if your system surpasses the recommendations. Cutscenes are also locked at 30 FPS. This doesn’t make the port terrible but one hopes that the framerate for gameplay is unlocked at some point.
