God of War: Ghost of Sparta
God of War: Ghost of Sparta outdoes Kratos’ first outing on the PSP in every way possible, and then some more- actually much, much more. Featuring an emotionally moving storyline, some of the best directed cutscenes, thrilling action-packed gameplay and an overall epic feel to it, Ghost of Sparta is one of the best games to have been released not just on the PSP, but on any system in recent memory. No God of War fan, no action fan, no PSP owner, heck no gamer at all, would want to miss this one.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
This, my friends, has to be the best, the most epic, and the most immersive entry in this fabled series till date- of course, that is only my opinion, but with ninety hours of gameplay, some of the best boss fights ever, great story and storytelling, a memorable character cast and killer visuals, to name a few, Peace Walker is a hell of a game. It’s a pity that the game didn’t sell much, so let’s all of us together change that, and buy Peace Walker this holiday season- it deserves the purchase.
MLB 10: The Show
While not half as good as the game of the same name on the PlayStation 3, MLB 10: The Show on the PSP is an enjoyable game. It provides for a really fun baseball experience, especially for the first PSP game in the series. With stunning visuals, authentic commentary and brilliantly detailed stadiums to boot, MLB 10: The Show on the PSP actually feels like an authentic baseball experience that no fan of the sport should miss.
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable
Persona 3 was already a great game when it came out, and on the PSP, it became infinitely better. While it does have some baffling omissions, like free-roaming and comic-style cutscenes, new tweaks and story elements, and the retained addictiveness and feel of the classic RPG title make Persona 3 Portable a must buy for all RPG lovers who own a PSP.
Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep
Birth By Sleep has been hailed by many to be the best Kingdom Hearts game yet, featuring an epic storyline told via brilliantly directed cutscenes and an addictiveness that is matched by few other RPGs. For being the deep, fun and addictive game that Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is, I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any PSP owner who likes RPGs even in the slightest.
