Along with other publishers, Nintendo will be attending Gamescom 2017 in Cologne, Germany to showcase its upcoming big name games. It will hold a livestream on August 23rd at 3 PM CEST to where Super Mario Odyssey producer Yoshiaki Koizumi will demo the game and also provide commentary. Attendees will have a chance to play the Metro Kingdom and Sand Kingdom worlds on the show floor.

August 24th, 12 PM CEST will see Metroid: Samus Returns showcased with producer Yoshio Sakamoto and creative director José Luis Márquez. Furthermore, interviews and shows for Fire Emblem Warriors and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 along with new footage of these games will be streamed live to all.

While Super Mario Odyssey will arrive in October for the Nintendo Switch, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be out this Holiday season. Perhaps Nintendo will actually use Gamescom to confirm a release date for the later, especially since it’s one of the biggest Switch games of the year.
