Nintendo outline digital retail options for 3DS

Posted By | On 25th, Jul. 2012

Bidding farewell to the physical world, Nintendo has announced three ways in which consumers can digital purchase full 3DS titles.

According to Andriasang, a Japanese news site, players will be able to digitally purchase games by either:

Directly buying the game from the Nintendo eShop, buying a code from an online retailer or buying a physical card in store, containing a code, which will be redeemably for 150 days after purchase.

No doubt digital purchases through the eShop will be as successful for high-profile releases as they are on other platforms.

The first digitally-released title to hit the Nintendo eShop for the 3DS is New Super Mario Bros 2, out 17th August.
