Nintendo Russia has very recently announced that the prices of games for the Nintendo Switch platform will be reduced in the region. The Russian division of the Japanese gaming giant announced the news via an official blog post, which was spotted by Nintendo Life.

As stated in the blog post, fans can expect to see reduced prices for games on the Nintendo Switch eShop starting December 6th.

“Please note that prices for Nintendo games on Nintendo eShop will be reduced at midnight on 6 December 2021,” the blog update reads. “We constantly monitor the dynamics of prices, and this change in prices for the Russian market reflects the current state of affairs in the market.”

Meanwhile, in an interview with Russian gaming publication GameMag, Nintendo also announced that new Nintendo Switch units and any accessories including physical games and amiibo purchased after December 1, 2019 will be offered a 2-year warranty to match with its policies in the UK, instead of the 1-year warranty that had been offered in Russia up until now.

Nintendo Switch’s handheld nature makes it prone to damages, so it’s great that fans in the Russian region will now be covered under warranties for a longer period of time.

The Nintendo Switch sold pretty well during the Black Friday sales, to say the least- read more on that through here.
