Switch manages to have a reasonable hold post-Obon week.

Nintendo Switch

In the wake of Obon week, sales of games and hardware in Japan usually fall off pretty sharply, but Nintendo’s Switch seems to have maintained its weekly level of sales reasonably well. Where last week, the Switch sold 54,000 units, this week it sold 46,000 units- so it’s within the same range.

The PS4 came in at second place, with almost 23,000 units sold, and the 3DS weakly rounds off the top three, with just under 7,800 units sold. On the software front, by a miraculous confluence of release timing and weekly drops for other software, Conan Exiles came in in first place, with the Switch version of My Hero: One’s Justice coming in in second place (the PS4 version charted in at fifth). Meanwhile, the usual suspects- Minecraft, Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Kirby: Star Allies, Mario Tennis Aces– all showed off strong legs this week, too.

You can see the full charts for yourself below.
