Nintendo wants to sell 20 million units of the Switch this year , and it looks like they are going all in on that. We already know they’re pushing out Mario Party, Pokemon, and Super Smash Bros. to the console, but they’re also going to be pushing their version of the most popular game in the world as well.
Much like Sony did, Nintendo has announced a bundle of the Nintendo Switch with Fortnite. The bundle comes with the game (which, admittedly, is free to play on the Switch), 1,000 V-Bucks to use in the game, and an exclusive double helix in-game skin, as well as a Neon Nintendo Switch console. The price of the bundle will be $299, so you’re not paying anything extra either- unlike most Nintendo Switch bundles (though, again, the game in question is free to play). This should actually have a perceptible effect on the sales of the Switch, especially as we move into the all important Holiday season.
Fortnite itself is out now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC.
It’s a bundle royale! A #NintendoSwitch #Fortnite bundle including special in-game items and 1,000 V-Bucks will make the jump into stores on 10/05. https://t.co/5049PRWbjr pic.twitter.com/qoraUQA5DO
