Though Nintendo hasn’t officially priced its upcoming hybrid Switch platform, that hasn’t stopped rumours and retailers from revealing the purported price. The latest is UK retailer GameSeek which is taking pre-orders and guaranteeing that the platform will cost GBP £198.50 (roughly $246.79).
It should be noted that under this policy if the price increases, then consumers who pre-order from GameSeek will get to pay less. Then again, if the price is less, you’ll have to pay the guaranteed price and this could end up more expensive.
On Facebook, one consumer even noted how they spoke to a GameSeek outlet and was informed that all those who have pre-ordered the Switch have been refunded. What exactly is going on and is this any indication of the Switch’s actual price?
At this point, it’s hard to say but expect Nintendo to spill the beans soon especially since the Switch is scheduled to launch in March 2017.
