If you’ve never heard of the four man pop band Union J, we can’t say we blame you (but seriously, have you not heard “Carry You”? For shame!). However, the four are avid Pokemon fans and are collaborating with the franchise for the release of Pokemon X & Y on October 12th. A full announcement as to their involvement will be revealed on October 4th.

Releasing their first album this week, Union J is composed of George Shelley, Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett and Jaymi Hensley. The band formed in 2012 after The X Factor, but along with music, they profess a strong love for Pokemon. How will they impact the announcement of the latest Pokemon games? We’ll find out in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Pokemon X & Y are riding the hype train on their way to release, with new Pokemon, new types, new Mega Evolutions and even a new MewTwo evolution all ready and waiting to be revealed. Stay tuned for more.
