Nintendo Will Be At E3 2020, ESA Confirms

The Big N won't be skipping the show after all.

E3 leaked their own (unfinished) list of companies participating in E3 2020, and when many realized that Nintendo’s name was nowhere to be seen, there were more than a few suggestions that they could be skipping E3 this year, a la Sony. However, that won’t be the case.

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) recently published an update talking about having opened up registrations for this year’s show, also talking once again about all the new stuff they’re planning on trying out this year in their bid to “reinvent” E3. At the very end of the update, they also mentioned that “several leading video game companies have already committed to participating in E3 2020.” The first two names that they mentioned following that were Xbox – which we already knew – and Nintendo.

So there you have it. Nintendo will be at E3 this year- unless, you know, they made another mistake mentioning them, which I wouldn’t put past them at this point.

Geoff Keighley recently confirmed that he wouldn’t be attending E3 2020, so there are some question marks about what will happen with E3 Coliseum.
