More announcements can be expected over the coming month.

Nintendo’s E3 plans are always fun to watch out for—if only because of how typically unpredictable they can be. Whether Nintendo chooses to only bring one game to the show, or try a new format like a Digital Event backended with Treehouse streams with developers, or hold tournaments at the show, it’s always fun to see how Nintendo will try to subvert expectations every year.

For this year, we already know part of what Nintendo’s plan is for the event—it will hold major invitational tournaments for Splatoon 2 as well as the upcoming Super Smash Bros. But that is, obviously, not the end of it, and there’s more to come—which is something that Nintendo of America’s Bill Trinen said to Polygon, noting that there were many more announcements to come over the coming month.

Which sounds good to me! Hopefully, we can get a Nintendo event that is as satisfying this year as their Digital Event was last year.
