Nioh 2 – All Bosses Ranked

Azai Nagamasa

You’ll encounter Azai Nagamasa once in the main mission “Bird in A Cage” and again in the side mission “Yaksha Returns”. The fight is the same in both cases though, hence his ranking. When the battle starts, Azai will sprout a single wing that can deflect your attacks. This means you can only get in one or two good attacks before he deflects the next. His slashes deal a fair bit of damage so don’t tank them. Azai will summon water geysers and leap attack you often, which are both easy to see coming – capitalize on the latter for some decent damage. Once he summons the Dark Realm, he’ll fly up and launch projectiles while charging with his own Burst Attack. The latter can be Burst Countered but you’ll have more success avoiding it. Finally, beware of his grab especially as his health goes down.
