Nioh 2

Next month we will dive once again into the dark world of Japanese history and myth with the action RPG sequel to Nioh. The game promises more of what you loved about the original with plenty of ghosts, settings and combat to master. We are getting a chance to try it out once more with a trial weekend, and today we got a teaser for it.

The teaser, which you can see below, is a brief one and just shows a few quick clips of a player taking on various enemies. The Last Chance Trial will feature missions, bosses and will let you customize your character and import it into the final game. Those who clear the first mission will also get a helmet to take with you into the retail release. While they’ve promised the game’s difficulty won’t be unreasonable, I wouldn’t expect getting that helmet to be too easy.

Nioh 2 will release exclusively on the PlayStation 4 March 13th. The Last Chance Trial will run from February 28th to March 1st. You can also check out some footage showing off both the single and multiplayer aspects of the game through here.
