Team Ninja’s Nioh 2 isn’t even out yet but it’s already confirmed to be receiving a Season Pass with three DLC packs. According to Ryokutya2089 (who often reveals details from weekly Famitsu), there will be three new campaigns added with the DLC. Though separate and taking place before the main campaign, there will be some connection.

It was also revealed that the DLC campaigns will be more difficult than the base game but not “unreasonably” so (which should be good news for fans of the original game). Two new weapon types are also coming, though the team is undecided on what they should be. Apparently they’re open to suggestions so expect more details in the coming months.

Nioh 2 releases on March 13th for PS4, having gone gold earlier this month. Taking place before the first game, it sees protagonist Hideyoshi, a human/yokai hybrid, slaying demons and getting involved in the Spirit Stone war. Hideyoshi will be able to wield new demonic abilities and take on different demon forms to stamp out foes. In terms of length, Nioh 2 is stated to have the same number of main missions as the first game.
