Nioh 2 Shows Off Customization and Combat In New Video

Team Ninja's action-RPG continues to look impressive.

Team Ninja and Koei-Tecmo’s upcoming action RPG is looking like exactly the kind of sequel we all would have hoped for 2017’s Nioh to get- like it’s building on all the strengths of its predecessor, while introducing a host of its own new ideas and important improvements that improve the action even further. That much has been apparent in all that we’ve seen of the game so far, and it continues to be important in a new gameplay-focused trailer uploaded by Koei-Tecmo as well.

The trailer focuses primarily on the character creator – which looks more robust than you’d initially figure – and the combat – which looks just as fast, challenging, and addictive as you’d want, with the extra fantastical flourishes making it come alive even more. It’s sure to get your blood pumping if this is a game you’ve been looking forward to. Take a look at the game in action below.

Nioh 2 is out for the PS4 on March 13, having officially wrapped up development about a month ago. You can check out some more gameplay footage through here.
